Brief Introduction to GESE
The Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE) administered by the Trinity College London, are “one-to-one, face-to-face assessments of speaking and listening skills with a Trinity examiner” (www.trinitycollege.com/site/?id=368).
It’s quality audited by the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE).
Exams are for levels 1 to 12, that is, from Grade 1 to Grade 12. Grade qualifications “offer a progressive framework for the development of English language skills.”
The “achievement of GESE qualifications supports people wishing to develop their proficiency in English language speaking,” either for “personal goals, study, travel, employment, settlement or for visa application purposes."
